Atlaspost – Using Map Become Your Blog.

Now, a new website I want to introduce to everyone. It is Atlaspost. The website owner found it is interest to use map to build and post any articles. So user can see how many things happened around their location. The creator set up this website in the middle of 2007. After that, a lot of media focus this new website. (See Press Release) They also are invited to join DEMO SHOW in 2008. According to DEMO website, “DEMO is the launchpad for emerging technologies both as conferences in the U.S., Europe, and China and as a news and information Web site. DEMO conferences and news coverage are where digital entrepreneurs and investors change the game and stay ahead of the curve.”

Now you can follow this link to see this website presentation on DEMO SHOW.

This website is new media and they want to connect social network service and real world together. Users can use Yahoo Account to log in, or register a new user account. And then, they can use Google Maps on this website to share their experience with locations, such as have a nice dinner with a fantasy restaurant. Users just put in the correct location and share the experience and pictures. Other users can easily find it. In my opinion, this website is not only benefit for individual users but also for business companies. Restaurants can show the location, menu and pictures to attract audiences. Travel agencies put interesting pictures about their trips to encourage people use their service.

Pizza V.S. Online Ordering

A few days age, CNN had news about “Papa John’s hits online ordering milestone.Papa John’s is the third pizza company behind Pizza Hut and Domino’s Pizza in USA. Now they have around 2100 stores in the USA, 200 in the UK, 30 in China, etc.

This article showed this company hit $ 1 billion dollars from online ordering. It also mentioned that “The pizza chain said Wednesday that its online sales are growing on average more than 50 percent each year and neared $400 million in 2007 alone.

More than 20 percent of all Papa John’s sales come online or through text messaging.” This sentence means there is a opportunity in food online ordering. Normally, people tend to order food delivery by telephone. The salespeople need to describe the menu and special offer. It takes a long time, and one telephone line only serves one customer at the same time. It is not effective. In online ordering system, customer can see the menu easily and follow the steps to order the food.

Mother’s Day

Today is Mother’s Day in Taiwan. First, I want to say thank you to my lovely mother. If my mother does not support me to do anything, now I maybe stay in Taiwan and work with a company. I cannot study aboard for my Master degree.

Second, I want to talk about my mother. She is a kind and
optimistic person. She always says, we must have a kind heart for everyone. We cannot try to hurt someone in order to get any benefits. Although, she only graduated primary school, she has a lot of life experience. She always encourage me to do everything which is correct and beneficial, Now, she is 55 year-old but she still learn every new thing, such as how to use the computer, how to use Skype, etc. She is my lovely mother.

Thank you, my Mother.

In addition, I found a news about Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day celebration reaches 100th anniversary, this is about The person created Mother’s Day hates create this day because this day has become a business not a celebration for mother. In the end of article,  she  says that  “Jarvis was bitter about what the observance had become and “wished she would have never started the day because it became so out of control.”
